Jasveen Sangha, often dubbed the “Ketamine Queen”, has become the central figure in one of the most high-profile drug cases in recent years, the overdose death of beloved Friends actor Matthew Perry. Once known for glamour and ambition, she is now facing a future defined by federal charges and the possibility of decades behind bars.

Born in the United Kingdom in the early 1980s and raised in Calabasas, California, Sangha grew up surrounded by wealth and celebrity culture. After graduating from Calabasas High School, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences at the University of California, Irvine in 2005, followed by an MBA from Hult International Business School in 2010. Her career began in business, and she eventually became the Chief Financial Officer of Stiletto Nail Bar, a luxury salon in Los Angeles. But when the salon folded, her life veered in a darker direction.
By 2019, investigators allege, Sangha was running a drug operation out of her North Hollywood apartment, which federal authorities later described as a “drug-selling emporium.” A raid uncovered methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, psychedelics, and more than 80 vials of liquid ketamine. Authorities also linked her to a fatal ketamine overdose in 2019, years before Perry’s death.
The tragedy that sealed her notoriety came in October 2023, when Matthew Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home from ketamine toxicity. Prosecutors say Sangha supplied him with between 25 and 51 vials of the drug in exchange for around $11,000 cash. After his death, she allegedly instructed an intermediary, Erik Fleming, to delete incriminating messages, adding obstruction of justice to her legal troubles.
In August 2025, Sangha pleaded guilty to five federal charges: maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of ketamine distribution, and one count of distribution resulting in death or serious injury. She has been held in federal custody since August 2024 and now faces up to 65 years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for December 2025.
Before her arrest, Sangha curated a glamorous persona on social media, flaunting designer handbags, luxury cars, cosmetic treatments, and even her Rottweiler, King. Federal prosecutors portrayed Sangha as the mastermind of a drug ring operating from her upscale North Hollywood residence. During a March 2023 raid, investigators seized 79 vials of ketamine along with other narcotics and paraphernalia, calling her apartment a full-scale “drug emporium.”
Her plea deal came just weeks before trial. In court, her attorney Mark Geragos said she felt deep remorse: “She feels horrible. She’s felt horrible from Day 1.” Beyond Perry’s death, Sangha also admitted responsibility for a 2019 overdose involving Cody McLaury, underscoring the broader scope of her criminal activity.
She became the fifth and final defendant to plead guilty in the Perry case, joining Perry’s assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, intermediary Erik Fleming, and two doctors,Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, all of whom admitted roles in supplying ketamine.
Sentencing is set for December 10, 2025, with Sangha facing up to 65 years in federal prison, though prosecutors may recommend less than the maximum.
